Sometime after the show I got a huge surprise, Margaret phoned asking Pieter if he would rescue a little bitch she had that she was not able to keep. Pieter said yes, on the condition that she and I got along.
WELL IT WAS INSTANT LOVE, as you can see, we were bonded from the first glance. My heart just about burst. Neka was just gorgeous.
She was my soul mate from the start, we were in love as you can see. I think she thought I was handsome too, we over time found out we liked many of the same things in life.
Neka was fast, we both enjoyed a game of ball. Neka was quick and very good at sneaking the ball right out from under my feet, you had to keep a close eye on her.
Snow days were our favourite, we loved the snow! I was the teacher when it came to December and the Christmas Bell time. Neka was a wild and crazy girl, she went wild, jumping and howling at all the K-9's she met on our walks, so much so she got us both back home
so she could settle down for a while.. The next year she had to go out alone with the bells because she sneaked up behind me and bit through my bell harness. I could not believe how much joy it brought her to wear the Christmas bells.
We were both ice eaters and would pester to get out on the cold mornings to eat ice. It was one of our hot summer day treats as well, in the form of ice cubes.
We had many days of great fun. I loved to tease. Does it show?
Posing for the Thanksgiving Dinner Menu Card. I was blessed to have Neka, I missed K-9 companionship after Auntie Karo passed away.
